Get to Know Morrissa
Morrissa shares, "Whether I’m writing songs, playing piano, or singing, I truly believe that music is one of the most effective ways to reach hearts around the world. Music transcends borders and languages, making it one of the most powerful tools to connect with people.”
When asked about her “why,” Morrissa shares, “Perfection doesn’t live here—grace does, and I hope to be the example of grace everywhere I go.”
She attributes all her success, and all that is to come, to the glory of God. With a heart for people everywhere and a powerful, evocative voice, this is only the beginning for Morrissa Nicole.

New Releases:
In 2026, Morrissa released the thought-provoking ballad, I AM. This soulful piece is filled with truthful lyrics backed by emotive string orchestration. I AM was born during one of the most trying seasons of Morrissa’s life. Riddled with questions from hardship, Morrissa was inspired to write this song in response to her heartache. She shares it with the world in hopes that it helps others along the way.

An Easter-inspired single, Thank You for the Cross, was released in 2025 to amplify the message of hope and love for the world. This single allowed Morrissa to be nominated for 2026 Praise and Worship Song of the Year.

In 2024, she followed up with Ready, an EP that included the collaborative track, Ready to Receive, featuring Brooke Nicholls, Trey Dehaney, Christopher Samuels, Melina Fisico, and Michael Manhertz. The powerful anthem was awarded in 2025 for CSMA Collaboration Song of the Year, bringing together Canadian singers and worship leaders from across the country, uniting their voices for one sound, to the glory of Jesus.

In 2023, Morrissa released her sophomore EP, Devotion, featuring Psalm 16, which received great media attention, leading her to multiple TV appearances and performances in Canada. Selected credits include 100 Huntley Street (YES TV), The 700 Club Canada (Vision TV), The Perspective TV (CTV), and Legacy Makers (YES TV).

In 2020, Morrissa released her first Christmas EP album, Christmas With You, receiving her 3rd sync placement for her single “With You” in the award-winning film First.

Voice Acting
Morrissa is proud to be the voice of CBC News’ The National (heard nightly across Canada), “The Great Tangle” in Nickelodeon's Zokie of Planet Ruby, “Lydia Loops” in PBS Kids’ animated series Lyla in the Loop, “Grandma Annie” in PBS Kids’ animated series Phoebe and Jay, and “Camille” in the animated series Skillsville, where she also sings the theme song. Acting
As an actress, Morrissa has appeared and been heard on televisions across the country. Selected screen credits include Kim’s Convenience, Lifetime’s Toying With the Holidays, and Netflix’s Let It Snow.
Her selected stage credits include High School Musical 2 and the We Will Rock You North American Tour (2019/2020), where she made her Madison Square Garden debut.

Morrissa earned her Bachelor of Applied Science in Early Childhood Studies with the highest distinction and hopes to pursue a Master’s in the field. Her deep love for children inspired the creation of Youth Empowered to Stand, a community initiative in collaboration with her church, The Gospel of Peace Church. This program aims to cultivate and develop a love for the arts among the next generation.
